Fr. Linh Nguyen grew up in Dorchester after moving to the United States from Vietnam with his parents and four siblings at age 15. He attended St. Peter’s school and studied at Cathedral High School in the South End. He was ordained at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in 2000 and spent the next five years at Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth as the parochial vicar. Fr. Linh was the first Vietnamese-American pastor in the history of the Boston Archdiocese when he was assigned to St. Bernadette’s Church in Randolph in 2009. He then served as the pastor of St. Mark and St. Ambrose Collaborative from June 2015 to June 2024. He now continues as pastor of St. Ambrose.
